SAVIOR OF ALL

SAVIOR OF ALL

In  1Timothy, we read that God is going to save ALL.
It says He’ll be the savior of all “men”, but of course this is a generic term for all humans.
What could be more straight-forward than that!
All will be saved.
Hallelujah!
Why do we know this to be true?
Because Paul tells us it is so,
Paul states that  boldly to Timothy in 4:9-11.
Early in his ministry, he didn’t know this, but later, and I like to believe it was after the visit to the seven heavens that it was revealed, but the “when” is of no concern, he was told and he was told by the Spirit of God (cannot emphasize this enough)!
In the beginning, his teachings were similar to what the other apostles taught (that which Jesus taught)..basically Christian Judaism. Only Paul’s followers didn’t have to observe holy days and get circumcised (big relief).
Now, there are those who would point out a “qualifier”, when Paul adds “especially for those  who believe”. So, maybe what he’s saying, is that the “All” are those who “believe”.
And then they’ll enumerate qualifications for being saved, such as “those who profess their love for Jee-sus”, or “those who believe as we tell you to believe”..or “those who are “good”.
But, he’s not saying that. He makes clear that he means “all”.
In his conclusion,  he warns Timothy to watch out for “contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge”..what is all too prevalent today, because the fact that “all will be saved” is apparently an unknown concept, because no one teaches it!
The addition of “those who believe” is aimed straight at us..the ecclesia, and what it means, is  that we have known this for some time, because he told us so, which  provides great relief, and is the very FOUNDATION of our belief.. As a result, we are “special”..paulnbob
