146..GOD'S RIGHTEOUSNESS

What is God’s “rigtheousness”?

Let’s start with the definition of “righteousness”..”the quality of being morally right and justifiable”.

The book of Job describes him as being “perfect in righteousness”, yet Paul tells us that no one is righteous..meaning that all have sinned, and it’s impossible for “man”  to be truly righteous .  it means compared to  others, Job was "perfect", similar as to how Isaac was described.

So, we know that only God can be truly righteous, because He is perfect  and He is the only one who can be justified in all His actions.

 How is His “righteousness” manifested?

He manifests His righteousness by jusifying  the sins of all sinners, and saving ALL mankind.

Think of that!

These gracious "gifts" are extended  to everyone, even though the vast majority of mankind is not aware  of this, or  choose not to believe it.

But, we “believers” gratefully accept these actions of God’s “righteousness”.

Why did God choose to do this, and when?

When Jesus volutarily ascended the cross and sacrificed His life, unselfishly, revealing His faith in God.

So, God‘s righteousness is manifested through the sacrifice made by His son, Jesus Christ.

Therefore,  it is through the “faith of Jesus Christ” that God’s righteousness  is revealed..paulnbob
