WALKING IN WISDOM

Mr. AE Knoch, co-founder of the Concordant Publishing and co-author of the Concordant New Testament looked at a world that consisted of “Believers: and “”Non-Believers”.

In his recent article in Unsearchable Riches, he makes it very clear as to how “believers” should treat those who are “outside”, those non-believers in what Paul says regarding the Secret of Christ.

He refers to where Paul says, “Be walking in Wisdom toward those oiutside”

In other words use your head when discussing religion or belief around those who are “outside”..non-believers.

What is the Secret of Christ?

It is that ALL will be reconciliated at the consummation..all will be saved!

He reminds us that Christ is not only the Creator of the world, but that He is our Creator, not only the Reconciler of the”stone on which you stand”, but that He is our Reconciler, and that He is the Firstborn of all living creatures.

He emphasizes the personal quality of Christ to make us, “believers” aware  that we should make this “secret” known to “outsiders”.

Mr. Knoch says that “the Secret of Christ should be manifested”.

Manifest is defined as “to make clear”.

Now, on the surface that’s plain enough, but as you know from your own personal experience how difficult this is.

When speaking to those “outsiders”, they turn a deaf ear, or regard the “secret” as beyond belief, and no amount of plain truth as expressed in Paul’s writings will change that.

Mr Knoch makes it clear when he states that “all doors are shut and locked against the entrance of truth”.

So, what to do?

Paul says that we should pray that God will open the door.

Thinking back to when I came to “believe”,  it was indeed a “door-opener” that God used to open my eyes and I imagine that it was the same with you as well.

And how should we be “walking in wisdom”, surrounded by non-believers?

We are told that, because we know the truth and that the lot of the non-believer is one of hope and salvation, that we should accept their non-belief and pray that it may change, through the Grace of God, but not to worry about their non-belief.

But, it doesn’t mean that no attempts should be made to bring the truth to “outsiders”.

If there’s a genuine desire on your part to share the Secret of Christ and the teachings of Paul, you might make a platform by which you can seek to reach “outsiders”, as I did with this blog.

Again, you might even be able to be encouraged to reach out to individuals  and try to bring them to understand the truth and the Secret of Christ.

Only, should you attempt this, it would be wise to be selective in whom you choose..in other words, ”be walking in wisdom.”

If in conversation you might sense a willingness to listen and consider what you’re saying, then you might subtly introduce the truth.

Maybe a word at the right time would cause the “outsider” to read Paul in a different way, more open-minded, and you could be the “door opener” that manifests  this great  Secret.

Don’t do what my friend, John atempted. So filled was he with the need to make “outsiders” know the truth,  He tried to convince his old Bible Study fellows,  and became angry, when they cloudn’t or wouldn’t accep what he said.  This took p;lace in the First Baptist Church in Pasadena, California.

He was lucky they didn’t “tar and feather him”, declare him a heretic,  and run him out of their on a rail, so set are they in their ways.

Please remember too, not to be discouraged should your efforts be in vain, because ultimately it’s the Grace of God that is at work that  made us believe.

He was lucky they didn’t “tar and feather him”, declare him a heretic,  and run him out of there on a rail, so set are they in their ways.

Please remember too, not to be discouraged should your efforts be in vain, because ultimately it’s the Grace of God that is at work that  made us believe.

As Peter says, We “grow in grace and knowledge”,..paulnbob
