130..CHARISMA
Today, when we hear that someone possesses "charisma", we think of persons who, for some indefinable reason, attract people to them. It's defined in Webster as "a personal magic of leadership arousing popular loyalty or enthusiasm.." Certain public figures and actors have this aura, charm that causes people to very nearly "worship" them.
Now, when speaking of "charisma" in the more spiritual sense, I look to my usual source, UNSEARCHABLE RICHES, published by The Concordant Concern (If you haven't yet subscribed, I urge you to do so email@concordant.org). The word "charisma" is derived from the Greek, and signifies "grace".
In Corinthians, Paul addresses the possession of "gifts", because they are bragging about them, each trying to outdue the other.. Paul reminds them, that what ever gifts they possess are gifts from God. It's God's grace, "who apportions each according as He is intending."
God graciously provides those gifts which each of us may possess.
This is "charisma", a gift from God..be not proud, give God the credit..paulnbob
