93..PRISON EPISTLES

You could say that Paul saved the best for last..when he was imprisoned in Rome.

Most historians agree that Philppians, Colossians and Ephesians were written during that period of Paul's incarceration, along with the "personal" letters to his closest followers.

He had been teaching his followers and anybody who would listen basic things, such as there's but one God; justified, not pardoned of  sins; all are to be saved.

But, keeping in mind what he said about being a child and understanding as a child, but as an adult,   childish things were to be set aside; it was in the the prison epistles that  he introduced "adult" knowledge, believing his followers  ready to accept them. Also, he very well might have thought that it would be his last opportunity to bring the latest news.

I wonder how he was able to retain this incredible news for as long as he did. Noone knows exactly when the Spirit of God imparted the unbelievable new gospel to Paul, but I imagined it to be after he ascended to the Seventh Heaven, mentioned earlier.

In these epistles, we discover that we are a part of the body of Jesus the Christ and as such are to be carried up to join Him when He descends to rule the earth, and remain with Him for a thousand years, an integral part of His body. He tells us, that  those of us in repose are to be raised from death first, vified..body, soul and spirit joined in a "new" way.."born again",   to  ascend first.

Afterwards, when God makes his headquarters on earth, the Christ ascends and so do we to do battles with enemy "hosts" of the heavens.  Ephesians is the epistle that I choose to concentrate on, but I'll save that for my next blog..paulnbob
