150..TROUBLED MIND
Peace to a troubled mind.. is what I wanted to entitle this, but restriction in number of words wouldn't allow it.
Once again, in searching for inspiration, I turn to the latest UNSEARCHABLE RICHES(believers subscribe).
I’m sure, just as I, there are times when you feel overwhelmed with worry, or physical affliction. It is then we must turn to the Father to ease what troubles us.
“God alone can soothe the overcharged heart and His quietness expel trouble”..so says William Mealand in his article on "Meditation".
Why do we turn to God, when troubled?
Because He knows us better than we know ourselves and loves us beyond measure, and I might add, beyond our deserving.
His grace has lifted us out of the sins of the world and its “Laws”, and carried us into the Spirit’s Law and its overabundance of blessings.
He, the Father of us all, in His grace , has declared sin to be dead, and gifted us with the knowledge of life after death, and the future awaiting us in the heavens, following our resurrection.
How could a One who blesses us in more ways than we can ever imgine not be the one to turn to when we are troubled.?
Paul, even with his “splinter of the flesh”, which caused him incredible agony, calmly accepted who he was , because it was God’s will.
In counceling Timothy he tells us all that” devouteness with contentment is great capital”.
And how is “contentment “ achieved?
By seeking solace from the Father through prayer and meditation, or in any way you see fit.
Keeping in mind what our Lord, Jesus said, simply” Ask our Father, in heaven", to give you the comfort and peace of mind and body that you want..seek Him for solace.
He may not remove our troubles or body affliction, just as He did not for His Apostle, but somehow, you'll feel better knowing that He now shares what it is that troubles you..paulnbob
