63..DEATH

I experienced the one thing every parent dreads..the burying of a child.

My child, Millie, died of cancer, last wek at the age of 67.  Despite consistent pain and suffering, she was one of the most joyous of humans..she loved life and people loved her!

I will paraphrase what AE Knoch..one of the originators of the CONCORDANT BIBLE had to say about death"

DEATH is simply the absence of life. When one dies, he/she rests. The heart stops and the person sleeps.  "His spirit departs, he returns to the earth; in that very day his thoughts perish"( Psalm 146:4 ).

Examine the composition of the human being: the corporeal body; the soul and the spirit.

Adam gives us an understanding of the makeup of man. Adume (fem), translated in the Hebrew means "ground".

We know the "body" consists of hair, flesh pores, etc..material and evident. It will eventually decay at death and return to earth..replenishes the earth.  We are made of earth and to earth we return.

The "Soul" is the life-giving force of the body..the blood-producing oxygen that keeps us alive.  The heart keeps the blood flowing, providing the oxygen that sustains life. The soul gives us "sensation"..a consciousness of "being". When the heart stops, we die.

Too many are confused about the "soul"..it is not immortal. The bible says it returns to "hades" and people wrongly confuse this with "hell". It simply means the unseen.

When the heart stops the soul disappears, entering the astral ether that surrounds us, invisible "substance" like air, though it's not,  accompanying us throughout life.

Astral is defined as "proceeding from the stars, a super-sensible substance supposed to pervade all space and form, the second body belonging to each individual".  It is the "stamp" that makes each of us individual and identifiable. May also be called the "Aura".

So you may ask. Are we connected to the stars..stardust?

I won't get into that now, but we are indeed influenced by the heavenly constellations at birth.

It is the "Spirit" that is immortal. At death it goes directly to God.  Read again Jesus' dying declaration on the "cross".."Into thy hands I commit my spirit". The spirit is the essence of God.

I believe the Spirit is located in brain.  When our conscience is speaking to us, it is the Father telling us what we should be doing.

What God does with  our spirit only He knows,  It is His to do as He wishes..bobnpaul
