95..JUSTIFICATION

I don't know if you realize just how we are blessed, by justification..the act of justifying.

Here's what it means to be "justified" of our sins.  It means that the sins we've committed, are committing or will commit in the future didn't occur.  When we are justified we are in essence exonerated even before they occur.  Now, I know that's hard to understand or wrap your mind around it, but it's so.

How do I know this, because Paul says it's so..How did he know it, because the Spirit of God told him.  What greater proof is needed?

My buddy, Al, when I told him this, he said then we can commit any sin we want and get away with it.  Then, I reminded him what Paul said, "where sin abides, grace superexceeds ".  In plain language that means that when you are tempted to commit a sin, God's grace within you oftentimes prevents it..through your conscience, which represents God's grace.

Now, as believers you are not unique, because all mankind enjoys that special blessing of justification, because of the faith of Christ Jesus.  It was His righteousness that grants this to the world. And we don't have to do a thing to receive it..it's been done!

But, what gives us a special belssing, is the fact that we KNOW we are justified.  The great majority of the world  believes that the sacrifice of Jesus means that they are forgiven, pardoned of their sins, BUT they must do something to deserve it..give their selves to Jesus, ask for his blessing, etc.

The reason for that false belief is because that is what their preachers tell them.  I like to believe that they are told this, because that's what the preachers believe..they don't understand the truth.

This also gives the church a certain amount of power over their congregants.  They have the secret of how to overcome sinning..confessions to their priest, for instance.  In this way many are in thrall to the church, because they believe that the church will show them the "way".

Fortunately, believers realize that the "way" is simply to go direct to God with your entreaties and prayers.".Our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.." and when in doubt about any philosopical teaching read Paul..paulnbob
